Multi-channel network operations

Run the network.
Prove every payout.

ZMCN is the operating platform for a multi-channel network — channel lifecycle, content rights and settlement over one system of record. The partner share, the deduction and the payment can each be reproduced from the line they came from.

Every figure on this site is read from the platform’s own dataset. Trailing windows count evaluated, still-tracked channels only: a channel whose partner granted no authorisation token is not measured at all, and tracking freezes on the day a channel is delinked.

The operator's problem

Three things break in every network at this scale

None of them are reporting problems. They are all the same problem: the number cannot be reproduced by the person being asked to accept it.

Revenue arrives from four places and none of them agree

ZMCN ingests YouTube CMS, the Studio API, OTT distributors and DSP direct reporting into one period. A file whose identifiers do not map to a channel or an entity cannot merge until they are resolved — a job that needs review is held rather than half-applied, and the period cannot close over it. still held for exactly that reason.

Nobody can reproduce the partner's share

The channel rate supersedes the partner rate, the incentive is added when the partner’s month clears the threshold, and the management fee is deducted last. ZMCN stores that working alongside the line, so finance, the partner and the auditor quote the same number.

Settlement takes weeks and ends in an argument

Close the period, raise one invoice per partner, Finance reviews, the CEO signs, the run writes a bank file, and the UTRs that come back are matched against the invoices. Of imported payments are matched against what was owed, and anything that does not match is named — and they are shown as unmatched rather than absorbed.

The answer

One system of record, five ways in

Operations, partners, creators, finance and analysis each get a portal built for what they actually do — over the same data, with the same rules, settled by the same engine.

admin.zipr.tv

Admin & Operations

Network operations — ops managers and executives, and the super admins above them

  • Channel register with onboarding and evaluation queues, and a delink ledger where tracking freezes on the delink date
  • Move and Transfer executed as different things: a move carries all history across, a transfer only from the effective date forward
  • Novations on a seven-day clock that auto-reverts when it runs out
partner.zipr.tv

Partner Portal

The network's content partners — their admins and their finance contacts

  • Their channels, their assets and their reports, scoped to their own tenant throughout
  • An add-channel flow that refuses a channel already mapped to another partner and routes it to a transfer request instead
  • An onboarding mirror showing the exact stage a request sits at and the data operations is judging it on
creator.zipr.tv

Creator Studio

Creators and channel managers working inside a partner

  • Every upload fingerprinted against the whole network on video and audio — never on thumbnails or titles
  • Blocked uploads shown with the matching segments, the source asset and the partner who owns it
  • A soft-review queue with segment-diff comparison; decisions write to the audit log and notify by email, WhatsApp and in-app
finance.zipr.tv

Finance & Billing

Finance managers and executives who own the network's books

  • Invoice register carrying revenue share, TDS, GST and the OCR verification outcome on the document
  • Payout register with batch reference, bank status and a named reason behind every hold or failure
  • Agreements bound to the enterprise CLM record with e-signature envelopes and version history
analytics.zipr.tv

Analytics & Copilot

Analysts and anyone who has to explain a number to somebody else

  • Click a point on any chart and drill through to the assets that caused it
  • Diagnostics that decompose a metric's variance into channels, assets and events
  • Anomaly detection that names the detector that fired and the root cause it found
royalties.zipr.tv

Royalties & Invoicing

The settlement desk: royalty operations, finance, and the CEO who signs

  • Revenue share resolved with the arithmetic shown, not just the final percentage
  • Studio API against CMS on every line, flagged once the negative variance passes ten dollars
  • Two FX rates per period: one values the revenue, one prices the payout

Settlement

The share, with the working shown

A percentage on its own is an assertion. ZMCN keeps every component of the resolution on the line, so the number can be re-derived years later without asking anyone what the rule was at the time.

  • Channel rate supersedes partner rate; the incentive is tested on the partner’s whole month, never per channel; the management fee comes off last.
  • Rates lock forward. A rate row locked against a settled period cannot be edited — only superseded from a date, so a past payout keeps the terms it was paid under.
  • An unrecouped advance holds the payout at zero rather than reducing it, and the balance is shown wherever the payout is.
  • Two FX rates per period: one values the revenue as reported, the other prices the payout that leaves. Finance sets both, and a period keeps the pair it closed on.

A worked example. It follows one channel's revenue from what YouTube reported to what the partner is owed. No partner has been onboarded and no period has been closed on this platform yet, so these are illustrative figures showing the shape of the output — not live data. The channel, view and claim counts elsewhere on this site are real.

Pre-publish fingerprint gate

thresholds are configurable
  • Above 90%Blocked

The upload is terminated at the gate, an infringement alert is logged and the partner is notified.

  • 50–90%Needs review

Routed to the operations queue with a segment diff, matched asset and owning partner attached.

  • 25–50%Needs review

The band the requirements left open. We resolve it to review — a wrong auto-approve costs a CMS strike.

  • Below 25%Auto approved

Published, and added to the network hash catalogue so the next upload is checked against it.

Matching is on video and audio segments. Never on the thumbnail, never on the title.

Rights

Decided before publish, not after the claim

Every upload is fingerprinted against the whole network before it can reach YouTube. The verdict comes with the matched asset, the owning partner and the segments that matched, so a block can be argued with.

  • Network-wide reuse intelligence: 602.0K live claims across 185.0K channels, each showing what matched, against which reference, and for how long.
  • Content ID claims and disputes worked in the same place, with the policy — monetise, track or block — and the revenue at stake on each.
  • Token and authorisation governance: a channel with no token is shown as not evaluated, never as zero — the two mean different things and a payout must not confuse them.
  • Token state and monetisation state are independent. A demonetised channel can have a perfectly healthy token, and the platform shows both.

From period to payment

Money leaves the building once, and is matched when it lands

Six steps, each of which refuses to proceed until the one before it is clean.

  1. 1

    Ingest and verify

Four sources per period. Rows whose identifiers cannot be mapped block the merge instead of quietly becoming someone else’s revenue.

  2. 2

    Resolve the rate

Channel over partner, incentive on threshold, management fee deducted. The working is stored with the line.

  3. 3

    Review the variance

Studio API against CMS on every line. A negative beyond $10 is flagged and has to be explained before the period can close.

  4. 4

    Close and invoice

One invoice per partner per period, carrying the share, the incentive, the fee, advance recoupment, TDS and GST.

  5. 5

    Finance, then the CEO

Two approvals, in that order, neither skippable. An invoice can be held with a reason at either stage.

  6. 6

    Bank file, then reconciliation

The run produces a bank file; returning UTRs are matched against invoices and classified as matched, partial, duplicate, over-payment or unmatched.

Reconciliation

how a returning payment is classified

A UTR coming back from the bank is matched against the invoice it should settle and classified as matched, partial, duplicate, over-payment or unmatched. Each of the four that are not “matched” needs a different action, so they are never collapsed into one failed bucket.

No payment run has been made on this platform yet, so there is nothing to count here. When there is, this is where it will be counted.

Governance

A partner sees their own network, and only their own

Role-based access across the portals, tenant isolation on every query, PII masked by default with each reveal logged, and an append-only record of every mutation.

Eight roles, ten permission scopes, and two of them — retrospective moves and audit trajectory overrides — reserved to a super admin alone.
